The Sinaron Digital CPL line of lenses, which are equipped with the well proven mechanical Copal between-the-lens shutters, are operated fully manually; therefore no computer, software or electrical power is required to use them.

Resolving Power

Sinaron Digital CPL lenses provide the photographer with maximum sharpness, high contrast and outstanding color fidelity. These lenses have a resolving power of at least 50 line-pairs per mm throughout the entire image circle. Sinaron Digital CPL HR lenses have even a higher resolving power of at least 60 lp/mm. In the center, these lenses may resolve even up to 200 lp/mm. This makes Sinaron Digital lenses best suited for high-quality, high-resolution images.

Application

• Sinaron Digital CPL lenses can be used on Sinar p3, Sinar p3 SL, Sinar f3, and Sinar f3 SL view cameras.
• Sinaron Digital CPL lenses mounted on a 100 mm lens board are available in focal lengths from 28 mm to 210 mm.
• Sinaron Digital CPL Lenses are operated fully manually, no computer, software or electrical power is required to use them. That makes them ideal to be used in conjunction with the Sinarback eMotion with its on-board battery power supply.

With such a combination the photographer can take digital images with the same freedom of movement like in the "old days" - when film was the standard image storage medium. That means there is no hassle with cables, computers, or external power supplies.

The well-proven mechanical Copal between-the-lens shutter of the Sinaron Digital CPL lenses provide exposure times of up to 1/500 second. The operation of the lenses is very easy and self-explanatory.

Lens Boards

Operation

• For all lenses featuring shutter size 0 - i.e. focal lengths HR 28 to HR 180 – the available shutter speeds are 1/500 to 1 second, B, and T, flash synchronization is at all shutter speeds.
• For all lenses featuring shutter size 1 – i.e. focal lengths 180 and 210 – the available shutter speeds are T, B, and 1/400 to 1 seconds, flash synchronization is at all shutter speeds.
• The cocking of the Copal between-the-lens shutter is done manually.
• The aperture can be set between f/4.0 and f/64, depending on the properties of the individual lens.
• A dedicated lever allows to fully open the shutter - or to close it - to the pre-set working aperture.
• A short Hand release cable is delivered with every Sinaron Digital CPL lens. When lenses are mounted in recessed boards - for technical reasons - the hand release cable cannot be removed from the lens (except when lens is disassembled).
• As a matter of course, all CPL lenses feature an x-contact for flash synchronization.
• In cases when the camera extension is longer than the length of the Sinarback Sync Control Cable, we recommend using the Y-Synchro Cable 521.51.010 as an extension cable.
